Remastered Maps Will Include Destructible Environmentsįor instance, in the case of Castle, Sledgehammer notes that the shoji screens there will now be destructible to be more in line with everything else in Vanguard. Though we do not know the full amount of the Call of Duty Vanguard World at War maps, we know some of them right now. Many of these maps are around 12 years old at this point, allowing players who were not even Call of Duty fans at the time to now experience what these maps are like for the very first time. Players will enjoy some returning Call of Duty Vanguard World at War maps that will be remastered and brought back for a modern age. The series would go so long without another World War II title that it disappointed original fans.įortunately, it looks like Vanguard will not only return to that setting but bring back some great nostalgia in the process. Not only was it Treyarch’s first real swing at the series that would eventually turn into the developer just churning out Black Ops games, but it was the last World War II game until 2017. A fan favorite in the community, World at War is one of the most beloved Call of Duty games of all time. One of the most hidden announcements during the recent Vanguard multiplayer reveal was that we are going to get some Call of Duty Vanguard World at War maps.
